To all our new and returning competitive members,
Welcome to the 2021-2022 Swim Season with the Nanaimo Riptides Swim Team!!
We would like to invite you and your family to our Annual Awards Ceremony and Welcome Back Event on Sunday, September 19th in the Auditorium at the Bowen Park Complex from 2:00pm - 5:00pm.
We are excited to announce that the Sip and Sliders food truck will on site and catering the event
Please bring chairs and/or a picnic blanket to sit outside and enjoy your food on.
Afterwards (from 5:30pm - 7pm) we will have a open swim for our registered competitive swimmers at the Kin Pool involving fun relays run by our enthusiastic coaches.
**Please don't forget to declare your attendance online, as we need to know how many food truck orders to prepay for and how many swimmers to add to our relays!
*****Also, as per the new mandates that was implemented by the BC Health Officer, the City of Nanaimo will be requiring all patrons entering facility over the age of 12 to wear masks while indoors and parents/guardians to show proof of first vaccination. There will be a proof of 1st vaccination check in area at the facility entrance.*******
Dues to size restrictions in place, we will be organizing an event to celebrate the accomplishments of our Olympic Way Learn to Swim members at a later date.
